The 2025 Black History Month theme, “African Americans and Labor”, focuses on the various and profound ways that work and working of all kinds – free and unfree, skilled, and unskilled, vocational and voluntary – intersect with the collective experiences of Black people. In celebration of this important commemoration, Maplewood Township and community organizations are offering programming, visual art displays, theatre performances, family events and educational panels, and so much more throughout the month of February.

Without our engaged community, we could not plan this robust month of activities.  We are grateful for the creators, supporters, and audiences of all of these offerings.
