The Maplewood Village Alliance is excited to announce a new public art initiative in the heart of
Maplewood Village, and we are currently seeking artists to submit proposals for a site-specific
mural project at Village Coffee on Maplewood Avenue.
Attached please find the official Call for Artists with full project details, timeline,
compensation information, and application instructions.
This mural project is intended to celebrate the creativity, vibrancy, and community spirit that
make Maplewood such a special place. We welcome submissions from artists whose work can
thoughtfully complement the historic charm and character of the Village while bringing a fresh
and engaging artistic vision to the space.
We would greatly appreciate your help in sharing this opportunity with fellow artists, arts
organizations, curators, and members of the broader creative community who may be
interested!

Featuring the work of Wendy Bellermann, Karis Takaki, and Michelle Kurlan, this immersive exhibition highlights how art can emerge directly from the earth itself.

Maplewood, NJ – September 2025 — interACT Theatre Productions is proud to open its 2025–2026 season with Jeffrey Hatcher’s gripping adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novella, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Performances will run October 10–25, 2025 at The Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts in Maplewood, NJ.
