Arrow, The Symbol - July 26
Arrow, The Symbol
Genre - Soul Fusion
Arrow, The Symbol, formerly known as Felisha George, is a recording artist, performer, lyricist and conjurer of rhythmic color. She fell in love with Hip Hop via cyphers in her grandmother’s project garden in the South Bronx. Raised in Maplewood, NJ better known as “MAPSO”, the home of timeless artists including Lauryn Hill and SZA, her exposure to the arts was endless. As a lifelong student she would later run for Board of Education twice in the district. Her interest in politics shifted her expressions of music as she ripened her consciousness. Arrow’s musical essence is a meditation and invitation to release, restore and self liberate. With words of intention and rich cadence you’ll find yourself submerged in her world of lyrical wizardry and euphoric deliverance.
Joining her in the band will be Josué, a saxophonist, Erby, on Keys, and Daniel on drums, who happens to also be a CHS graduate.
Arrow will be sharing the stage with MAPSO’s very own, Euphony. Euphony is a singer, songwriter, lyricist, poetess, and painter, whose performances involve a mixture of neo-soul and old school rap influences.
Come to enjoy sounds from MAPSO raised artists from all different years and backgrounds. Proving you with jazz, hip hop, soul, rock and much more!
