Book Launch with Ibtihaj Muhammad

  • [words] bookstore 179 Maplewood Avenue Maplewood, NJ, 07040 United States (map)

At the 2106 Rio Olympics, Ibtihaj Muhammad smashed barriers as the first American to compete wearing a hijab and made history as the first Muslim-American woman to medal. She will share her unforgettable and inspiring tale of perseverance at [words] Bookstore where she will discuss her book PROUD: MY FIGHT FOR AN UNLIKELY AMERICAN DREAM. Tickets are required to attend the presentation and can be purchased at wordsbookstore.com. One book purchase of either the adult or young adult book, both being released on the day of the event, will entitle the ticket holder to admission for two to the presentation. For those who do not wish to purchase a book but would like to meet the author, you are welcome to come to the bookstore after the presentation portion of the evening, where we will be holding a meet and greet starting at approximately 8:30 PM.
