Located just fifteen miles from New York City in the creative corridor of Maplewood and South Orange, the Maplewood—South Orange (MAPSO) Book Festival brings together readers and authors in celebration of the joy and diversity of the written word. Informative author panels highlight the major artistic, social, and political issues of the day, while a vibrant and fun-filled children’s area allows the youngest readers to discover the importance and delight of books—and meet many of their favorite authors!

The festival kicks off with keynote speaker Eve Ensler on Friday, June 7th. The majority of the festival will take place during the day on June 8th, and will include authors Wendy Mass, Ibi Zoboi, and Dan Gutman. A full schedule for the weekend will be announced soon.
