Concert profiling composers of African Descent with Richard Alston
Classic Maplewood is honored to present a concert celebrating great composers of African descent. Our very special guest, Prof. Richard Alston, a concert pianist, and Maplewood resident, will be joined by baritone Jim Pierce, violinist Ashley Horne, and cellist Leo Grinhauz, also a Maplewood resident, and co-founder of Classic Maplewood. Concert highlights will feature Prof Alston's solo playing, beloved spirituals, and the monumental Roots II, by David Baker.
