Using his French training and techniques, Chef Jesse paves the way in keeping traditional Southern cooking alive with his contemporary point of view. Join Chef Jesse for a food demonstration and lecture about his book, “POW! My Life in 40 Feasts” – a cookbook and memoir.

Chef Jesse Jones's honest and heartfelt story describes how the kitchen saved him from the streets. He grew up in Newark, New Jersey, summered with his grandparents in North Carolina, and then trained in a French restaurant. When he used his French technique to make Southern fried chicken and served it alongside his sweet potato waffles, his diners said “POW!”. A gifted American Chef, Chef Jesse has owned his own restaurant, cooked in five-star restaurants, and chefed for celebrities who have become lifelong friends. He cooks it low and slow, or fast and furious. But regardless of the technique, Chef Jesse’s food is always delicious. His collection of 40 feasts provides year-long dinner and party ideas for beginners and experts. Cook with Chef Jesse and soon you'll be saying POW!
