Diwali Fest NJ 2024

SOMA Cross-Cultural Works has once again partnered with the Township of Maplewood to host the 6th annual Diwali Fest NJ, a unique multicultural celebration of Diwali (Festival of lights) and South Asian arts and culture for the whole community.

Back this year is Kulture Kool South Asian Cultural Center. Known for their enriching year-round programs and workshops, they specialize in classical and instrumental music, as well as classical, popular, and folk dance for both adults and children.

We are excited to announce that Arya Dance Academy will be performing at our festival this year!

Seton Hall University’s renowned Competitive Classical Fusion Dance Team, @shu_taal , will be gracing the stage at this year's festival!

Get ready for an unforgettable performance by Rutgers RAAG at DiwaliFest! This award-winning, co-ed South Asian fusion a cappella group from Rutgers University, is known for blending Western and Indian musical traditions in a fresh, dynamic way.
