The Red Blanket Dance Troupe is a Native American dance group primarily composed of citizens from the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Nation. Featuring champion pow-wow style dancers, the troupe has captivated and educated audiences nationwide, showcasing a rich tapestry of music and dance that spans from traditional songs to contemporary styles seen at modern Pow Wows. Red Blanket is a family-based troupe that includes members from the Haliwa-Saponi, Tuscarora, Mohawk, and other tribes, all while remaining deeply rooted in their traditional teachings and stories. Through their performances, the Red Blanket Dance Troupe uses both language and dance to inspire and encourage the younger generation to connect with and preserve their cultural heritage.
