Columbia High School Jazz Ensemble Finale
Come celebrate the vibrant sounds of jazz as the Columbia High School Jazz Ensemble presents its highly anticipated Finale Concert. Featuring talented students in grades 9-12, the ensemble has spent months rehearsing a diverse range of jazz styles, all while strengthening their individual skills and deepening their understanding of musicianship.
Throughout the rehearsals, students have had the incredible opportunity to work with some of jazz’s most celebrated artists, including John Lee, Mark Jacobs, Freddie Hendrix, Karl Latham, and Jason Jackson. These masterclasses and coaching sessions have challenged and inspired the students, fueling their passion for jazz and driving their musical growth.
This performance is a true reflection of the dedication of the students and their director, Peter Bauer. It also highlights the invaluable support of the CHS Cougar Boosters and the positive impact of SOPAC’s Arts Education programs, which provide opportunities for local students, enriching their artistic journeys and fostering connections within the community through the power of music.
We look forward to seeing you there for a night of exceptional music and celebration!
