2018 Grammy Winner Performs at The Woodland In Maplewood

After six Grammy Nominations Jeff Lorber scored his first Grammy win in 2018, for best Contemporary instrumental album for his recording of “Prototype”.

Saturday, June 4, Smooth Jazz NJ and Maplewood Division of Arts & Culture bring Keyboard extraordinaire Jeff Lorber, Grammy Nominee Everette Harp (saxophone) with Grammy Nominee Paul Jackson Jr. that form the group “Jazz Funk Soul”

The Woodland has become the go to venue for Contemporary Jazz with another presentation of world-class musicians celebrating their 4th album of JAZZ FUNK SOUL. This presentation is also in collaboration with JESPY House of South Orange, and Marquee Concerts N.Y.

Jeff Lorber (keyboards) Considered a master craftsman jazz pianist, Jeff has distinguished himself as a writer and producer (Dave Koz, Kenny G.) with collaborations from Chick Corea to Gerald Albright and to many notables to be named in between.

Everette Harp (saxophone) Whether he is jamming with President Clinton or performing with Aretha Franklin, Bill Joel Chaka Khan, or Dianne Reeves, you always get 100% on stage with his captivating presence.

Paul Jackson Jr. “The guitarist who can play anything” (Herbie Hancock) In addition to his own Grammy nomination Paul was the guitarist on three Grammy Winning albums including Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”. Paul has either played with, composed for, or collaborated with an encyclopedia of music icons of all genres including Elton John, Whitney Houston, Pattie Labelle, George Benson, Al Jarreau, George Duke, David Benoit.

The Guest Master of Ceremony is on air alumni and morning show host, Steve Harris of CD101.9 radio New York.
