
Virtual Concert Celebrates the 2020 NEA Jazz Masters on August 20, 2020
The National Endowment for the Arts, in collaboration with SFJAZZ, will host a special online-only concert in honor of the 2020 NEA Jazz Masters—Dorthaan Kirk (A.B. Spellman Jazz Masters Fellowship for Jazz Advocacy), Bobby McFerrin, Roscoe Mitchell, and Reggie Workman—on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT

Family-friendly virtual event in honor of the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote.
Kicking off August 1, the monthlong event calls on participants to bike – or, if preferred, walk or drive – to various sites on the heritage trail, partaking in different activities along the way. Activities include tasks such as a child creating a piece of artwork based on the site, taking a selfie, recording a video, or answering a question at the site.

Music Mondays and the Village Sunset Music Series bring local talent to the streets of Maplewood in August and September 2020. The exciting new music experience is a collaboration between the Maplewood Division of Arts & Culture, the Maplewood Village Alliance, and the Springfield Avenue Partnership.


Maplewood Hires Social Distancing Ambassadors - TAPintoSOMA
With New Jersey’s curve flattened, some people might have social distancing and mask fatigue and slack off on those public health responsibilities. To help maintain awareness of the importance of staying a safe six feet apart and wearing a facial covering, the Maplewood Public Health Division in the Department of Community Services started a Social Distancing Ambassador Pilot Program this past weekend.
