The Village Sunset Music Series has been conceived to be the background sounds to your outdoor dining experience, in our #pedestrianfriendly Maplewood downtown. The Saturday music series will feature the talent of locally-grown musicians. Maplewood Division of Arts & Culture in collaboration with Maplewood Village Alliance, are injecting much needed energy and rhtythm to the streets of our artsy town.

BSG3

BSG3 is an acoustic jazz trio of piano, bass, and drums, playing arrangements of straight-ahead 1960s jazz, '70s fusion, bossas, and R&B.

Eric Braverman - Drums - Eric is a graduate of The University of Miami School of Music, lives in Maplewood, NJ and has been performing in the metro NY/NJ area for over 20 years.  As a founding member of the rock band Seismic and the jazz band Jazz Patrol, Eric has been a regular presence in the NYC/NJ jazz and rock clubs.  

Dave Shields - Piano - Dave is a Maplewood, NJ resident and plays with local bands including BSG3, Tori Erstwhile & the Montys, the Local Heroes and Trees Bodega.

Marc Gidal - Bass - Marc lives in South Orange, NJ and has been playing jazz bass for 35 years, in Berkeley, San Francisco, Eugene, Boston, and New Jersey. He also teaches and researches music and culture at Ramapo College. He earned degrees in Music from Harvard, where he directed a jazz big band, and Tufts.
