Fishmarket Stew is a band based in Maplewood, New Jersey that only plays
the music performed by the band Phish. Comprised of four SOMA residents:
Eric de Picciotto (guitar), David Diamond (bass), Lev Kuperman (drums), and Dave Shields (keyboards) use the Phish catalogue as a launching pad for their own improvised music.

Lyndon Achee was born and raised in Trinidad. An active performer in New York, he has recorded and performed with Nile Rodgers' R.T. G. Productions, Anthony Braxton, Eric Leeds' Paisely Park release, David Pleasant, Jay Hoggard, Arnie Lawrence, Winston Grennan, and at the Lincoln Center Summer Concert Series, with the Village Drums of Freedom.

Formed in 2014, Mama D & The Vexations is a high-energy cover band based out of Morristown, NJ. Their renditions of hits from the 60s through today keep the crowd moving all night long, always chanting "One More Song!" The band features Donna Ward on vocals (Fanwood, NJ), Nick Malishchak on guitar (Madison, NJ), Jasmine Bloch-Krempels on bass (Vauxhall, NJ), John Holmok on drums (South Orange, NJ) and Chris Bleeke on keys/trumpet (Dunellen, NJ).

Often funny and always charming, Tori Erstwhile & The Montys perform an unpredictable mix of catchy, clever, original multi-genre songs (jazz/indie pop/bluegrass/r&b/latin) for smart/witty adults sitting in chairs. Think Nellie McKay meets Flight of the Conchords. With deft musicianship and beguiling lyrics, you’ll nod, you’ll laugh, you’ll be glad you left the house. We are: Tori Chickering O'Connell (lyrics, music, lead vocals, snappy banter), Dave Shields (piano, music, vocals), Greg Jones (upright bass), and John Straus (drums). And we all live in Maplewood. The Baker Street Trio features three of the most exciting and swinging young jazz musicians in the area. who began playing together through Montclair's Jazz House Kids. The trio was formed in the Fall of 2020 out of these young musicians' love for jazz and the need to be able to play together -- safely, outdoors. They played a standing gig through the Fall and Winter of 2020 on a streetcorner on Baker Street in Maplewood Village, and in doing so, have entertained and brought the joy of jazz to countless appreciative audiences.

The Rudie Crew began rehearsing Ludlow Street Studios NYC, and knew right from the start that a new and exciting sound had been hatched. The Rudie Crew released its debut album “Invasion” in 2003, and follow up “Ride” in 2005, the title track was used on the TV series “Burn Notice, and “This is Skragga” released in 2011. Since the band formed they have played The East Continuously including The Warp tour and The Montreal Ska festival. The Rudie Crew currently planning to record and release their fourth full-length Album.

Local band High Disciple plays live Instrumental, Jamaican Dub-influenced, Pyschedelic Rock. The band creates catchy, upbeat musical soundscapes, and textures that can cross genres and make you shuffle your feet in the process. RECKON SO is a long-time Maplewood resident group, Danny Weiss and Mary Olive. They have been on NYC’s music scene since their official debut in 2005, but have been making music together for years. Danny & MO’s natural connection on stage, great tunes, hot picking, dynamic vocals, sweet duets and a mix of Honky Tonk, Roots Country, Western Swing and Bluegrass always make for an infectious good time.

Dan Crisci (piano/composer) and Ginny Johnson (vocals/drums/clarinet/composer) are a husband and wife team that has made music together for over 25 years. Dan has been performing in the New York/New Jersey area since 1984. He has performed jazz as a soloist and in various group settings at venues such as Birdland and The Squire in New York City, and Trumpets, The Old Bay, Watchung Arts Center, Van Gogh's Ear, and Shanghai Jazz in New Jersey.

We are the Cherry Lane Sean’s based out of Essex County, NJ! We cover a range of songs from Johnny Cash, to Beach Bunny, to Nirvana, to The Grateful Dead.

LAREDO are Larry Hardie and Ed Melee on guitars and vocals, and Gary Shippy on drums and vocals. They play a wide ranging variety of rock and roll, folk, blues and country songs. Their live performances always get the audience dancing, and usually singing along. The band often invites musician friends from the Maplewood/South Orange community to play along with them at their shows. The many years of playing together has wrought a tight, professional stage presence that entices and delights audiences young and old alike.

Linda & The Love Tones is an emerging band with tons of passion and heart. Featuring songs by Linda Miksza, which are mostly sunny, upbeat and fun, Linda & The Love Tones has been described as having a "honey dew sound," and like "a 45," in the style of "Magical Mystery Tour" or "Hello Goodbye."

Born in the southeast, bred in New York City, and relished by anyone who's ever taken a second to listen, Honest Wagner's sound can only be described as "Suburban Dad Country Alt Rock." In the Spring of 2021, long-time friends and collaborators, Brooks Wood and Cameron Mitchell, came together to form a new musical venture. The concept wasn't incredibly novel as the duo had played together for nearly 13 years at that point (The Barnstorm, 3G1C, as well as each other's solo endeavors).

The Accelerators are a three piece power pop garage rock punk band from Union N.J. Comprising of Ron Nole on bass and lead vocals. Anthony Rodriguez on lead guitar and backing vocals. And Lenny Sblendorio on drums. The band has been together since the 1980's and has performed at some legendary clubs such as CBGB's, The Stone Pony, The Stanhope House, The Court Tavern and The Dirt Club.

Citing Los Lobos, Santana, Celia Cruz and even Ricky Martin as sources, Los Traficantes play both soothing and danceable music

The Local Heroes band backs up a rotating roster of Maplewood and South Orange’s best singers. Every year, The Local Heroes present the SOMA Rocks -- A Singer Showcase benefit concert. This annual event showcases the amazing singing talent from the South Orange and Maplewood community, while raising money for local causes.
