Watershed Literary Events, a spoken-word series sponsored by the Department of Recreation and Cultural
Affairs in South Orange, will host its second virtual reading of the year on Sunday, May 16,
at 2 pm. The event will feature Columbia High School graduate and Maine poet laureate Stuart
Kestenbaum and Maplewood poet and photographer Rachelle Parker. The event is free and
open to the public and will feature a Q &A after the reading.

Voted “Best Keyboardist of All Time” (Music Radar Magazine), virtuoso musician/composer Jordan Rudess embarks on a solo piano tour that will travel through his fascinating musical journey – how a young Juilliard piano prodigy destined for a Classical music career evolved into a keyboard Rock star phenomenon. The concert will feature the music of Dream Theater and other Rock classics reimagined for the piano.

Singer-songwriter Dana Fuchs is known for her burnt-honey vocals and bruisingly honest musical mix of Southern Rock, Soul, Roots and Blues. Her dazzling career began in the early aughts when she ignited the New York club scene with a run of Soul-drenched albums and a voice acclaimed by Classic Rock magazine as “juke-joint dirty and illicit, evoking Joplin, Jagger and a cigarette bobbing in a glass of bourbon.”

These days we are experiencing a great deal of societal change - In this panel discussion we will hear perspectives from the Arts and Entertainment industry on how their fields are participating and enabling dynamic movements in society. We will explore the pace of change, and what results can be obtained and at what cost. Panelists will come from the fields of Theater, Sports, Visual Art, Music, Spoken Word and Video.

The Theater Project (TTP) is confronting one of the most controversial issues of our time in Black Lives / Blue Lives and making it available via Zoom to groups around the country. This original pair of one-acts, written by two accomplished screenwriters, explores each side of the police/race dynamic and uses the performances as a launch point for discussion and understanding.
